Molding shop
The facility is currently equipped with a total of 26 horizontal injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 40 metric tons to 575 metric tons, and two vertical machines with a clamping force of 50 metric tons. Some of the machines (primarily the larger ones over 200 metric tons) are equipped with automated systems for loading metal inserts and removing parts from the mold. The injection molding shop’s production program includes technical molded parts weighing up to 1,300 grams.
The vast majority of molded parts are produced using molds manufactured at the KOH-I-NOOR RONAS tool shop. Plastic parts are also molded using a more cost-effective method involving insert molds mounted in a universal frame. A smaller portion of mass production is carried out using transfer molds from other suppliers.
Injection molding shop production profile:
- technical parts made from thermoplastics (max. weight approx. 1,300 g)
- Processed materials: PA 6, PA 4.6, PA 6.6, POM, PBT, ABS, PC, PE, PPA, PPS
- Simple assembly of parts into larger assemblies
- Leak testing stations
- Electrical conductivity testing
- Camera inspections for mass-produced parts
